Introducing the 2016 Ilam Youth Parliamentarian - William Muir

Monday, March 7, 2016

My name is William Muir and I am a year 13 student at St. Andrews College.  I am fortunate to have the opportunity of representing Ilam MP Gerry Brownlee in the NZ Youth Parliament, which is run by the Ministry of Youth Development.
This position has a six-month tenure, during which I will be involved in learning how our government works and how we can influence it so that issues important to young people in Christchurch can be addressed.

There will be a number of training sessions and in June the Youth Parliament will convene in Wellington to attend Select Committee and a mock debate in the house.

If anyone wishes to contact William please do so through my Ilam office or 3590 582
